Shipping policy
Green & Red Vineyard primarily sells fine wine. For that reason, we are often unable to ship if the weather does not permit, whether too hot, or too cold. Wine shipped in inclement weather will sometimes arrived ruined, frozen, cooked, corks may pop, the wine destroyed and undrinkable. That decision does not just depend on the weather here, in California, or where you are -- we take into account the route any truck may take across the USA. We want you to receive your wine in pristine condition, so please bear with us if we are unable to ship your wine right away -- we want you to receive your wine as much as you do, we are only doing so to protect your purchase of our wine.
Also, wine bottles are heavy, shipping is accordingly pricey, and the packaging options limited. For those reasons, our minimum order is three (3) bottles of wine. We would also ask you to consider keeping your wine order to standard wine packaging sizes. Packaging mainly comes in three (3), six (6) and twelve (12) bottle formats, so a seven (7) or ten (10) bottle order makes it very difficult for us.
We generally ship UPS Ground Delivery, which we find to be the most reliable and economical. We can ship FedEx, GLS, etc. if that is a better option for you, please let us know. If you want your delivery expedited (see discussion of weather holds above), we can ship UPS next day, two day and three day delivery, but bear in mind expedited shipping, especially of wine, is often pricey.
We appreciate you taking these shipping policies into consideration when placing your order.
