2021 Heminway Estate Reserve Zinfandel

In 1969, Jay Heminway was teaching sculpture in Berkeley when he made his way to Napa Valley and founded Green & Red Vineyard. Jay continued to sculpt here, both the hills around him – planting three magnificent vineyards – and world-class Zinfandel wines. This Heminway Estate Reserve is a tribute to Jay and continues in his tradition, with his unique cuvée crafted from select lots from all three of our vineyards. Only five barrels were made of this restrained and elegant Zinfandel, which bears hints of violet, tea, cassis, and other black fruits, with a long finish that invites contemplation.
